NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY
- Come OUT US is issuing a formal call to local representatives, small business owners, and advocates across the country.
- The organization encourages community partners to curate specialized events on October 11th, National Coming Out Day, that foster authentic self-expression and provide welcoming, safe environments for those beginning their "coming out" journey.
- Come OUT will sponsor select advocates with $100 toward curating events at established community venues.
- Through an application process, the board will consider event submissions that meet the Come OUT Mission that:
- Celebrates: 10/11 National Coming OUT Day
- Entertains: Through local community performers and entertainers
- Represents: LGBTQIA+ people
- Sponsorship funds can be used toward creative welcoming event concepts such as local entertainers, drag shows, trivia, bingo, karaoke, game night or social occasion that brings people together. For example, The Tampa Bay Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will provide Dog Blessings and produce an entertaining show at Dog Bar St Pete, FL.
